Your health and privacy is my priority

I am an out-of-network provider with most insurance companies.

Benefits of Private Pay
Private pay allows me to offer you the highest quality of care with the utmost privacy without any restrictions including the type, frequency, and length of our sessions together. There will be no diagnosis on your permanent health record and notes on our work together will be kept to the absolute minimum. No insurance or 3rd parties will have access to your records. By paying out of pocket, you’re in complete control of your therapy and healing journey.

Want to use your Out-of-Network (OON) insurance benefits?
I'm happy to provide you a monthly superbill (a fancy receipt of our work together). You can submit this superbill to your insurance for possible reimbursement, depending on your insurance benefits. I have a handy dandy guide to help determine your OON benefits. Please email me and I can give you the guide.

Please note, that using OON insurance and providing a superbill requires me to give you a mental health diagnosis which will be part of your permanent medical record.

Diagnosis-free THERAPY image
My hours are 9am-5pm, Monday through Thursday, with my last appointment at 4pm.
No. But you can still use your out-of-network insurance benefits!

As an out-of-network provider with most insurances, I can give you a superbill on a monthly basis for you to be potentially reimbursed for out-of-network services. Please note, that providing a superbill requires me to give you a mental health diagnosis which will be part of your permanent medical record.

I have a handy dandy out-of-network guide that I can provide via email to help you determine your out-of-network benefits and specific questions to ask your insurance.

For the purpose of your confidentiality and privacy, I will not be communicating with your insurance provider directly.
In my experience, insurance shits all over your healing and are party crashers to your growth. They limit the number of sessions, frequency of sessions, and will randomly decide you’re “all better” when we’ve only met for 3 sessions. No thanks!

Other benefits of private pay therapy
  • No mental health diagnosis on your permanent health record.
  • No limit on amount of sessions.
  • You are guaranteed privacy and confidentiality.
  • Clinical documentation is kept to the absolute minimum.
  • Insurance companies, 3rd parties, and/or your employer do not have access to your therapy records.
  • Research shows that clients who pay for their therapy have more positive outcomes than those who receive free treatment.
  • Insurance premiums and life insurance policies will not increase based of mental health diagnosis and treatments.
  • You have more control, privacy, and freedom in your therapy.
At this time, all sliding scale slots are full.

I am happy to put you on a waitlist and notify you when a spot becomes available.

An alternative option is having a friend, partner, or love one pay for your sessions until you are financially able to do so.
I get it, life can be chaotic and right now may not be the best time to commit or invest in therapy.

You can still work on your wellbeing by accessing my mindful hypnosis, EMDR exercises, sleep meditations, and wellness talks on the Aura app!

Yes, it's true!

Therapy is considered a tax deductible medical expense if services are not covered by your insurance. This can be a valuable tax deduction if you are a therapist, healer, or self-employed.

I accept all major credit cards as forms of payment including HSA/FSA.

Our first appointment together is 60 minutes.

Subsequent sessions are 50-55 minutes.

Longer sessions (90-120 minutes) are available for EMDR and Hypnotherapy intensives to heal deeper and faster.

I'm all about comfort, convenience, and creativity. These are the 4 main reasons my clients LOVE online therapy

  • 1. The Ultimate Time Saver
    • Gone are the days of getting fully dressed, hassling this traffic, worrying about being late, and spending 30-60 mins of driving just to get to and fro your appointment. Attend your therapy sessions by opening up your laptop, whether you're at home, office, or vacationing on the beach. Image what other nourishing activities you could be doing with an extra hour back?
  • 2. Comfort
    • For therapy to flow effectively, it's necessary for you to feel at ease during our work together. My clients love having their sessions outside, or on their favorite couch, and wearing their leggings or lounge clothes with their favorite essential oils in the background. Whether at home, on a trip, in your office, you can easily carry out your sessions productively and comfortably.
  • 3. Confidentiality
    • Goodbye awkwardness of waiting rooms or accidentally running into your ex in the parking lot! With online care, you can carry out the sessions from any location of your choosing without anyone knowing your business.  Like in person sessions, I'm legally and ethically bound to protect your confidentially, health information, and obey HIPAA. In other words, all your data and the conversation between you and me remain secure through encryption.
  • 4. It's JUST as effective as in person therapy
    • Multiple research trials comparing online versus in person therapy suggest that treatment effects are equivalent. Yes, even hypnotherapy and EMDR can be done effectively & successfully online. In fact, a study indicated that some clients feel more comfortable video chatting versus than in person.
At this time, I am not offering in-person sessions.

I will be offering walk-n-talk therapy at one of my favorite hiking spots in Asheville, NC when things become safe with the COVID pandemic.

Please note, I will only be offering walk-n-talk therapy to vaccinated and fully boosted clients.

If you're interested, please contact me to be put on the waitlist!

Under a new law in 2022, health care providers can give clients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.

• You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.
• Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your healthcare provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.
• If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.
• Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.

For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 1-800-985-3059.
